The spaceThis peaceful urban oasis offers the best of both worlds: experience comfort and privacy amongst the beauty of Southern California nature while just minutes away from some of LA’s hippest restaurants, shops and nightlife.
This truly unique Spanish home includes a master bedroom with huge windows to the courtyard, a king-sized bed, large 4k television and master bath with an enlarged shower & clawfoot tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed, hillside views, flatscreen tv, and desk. The house has a guest bathroom with a large rainfall shower head. The glass door surrounded pool house features a massive steepled ceiling and a third luxurious bathroom, and is the perfect place to play pingpong or relax in an indoor/outdoor setting. Enjoy beautiful mountain views from the cloistered backyard which has everything; teak dining table, cozy fire pit with an outdoor sofa, Alfresco built in barbecue, and gated pool and jacuzzi, all surrounded by lush tress and landscaping.
Decor: Our home has been featured in several magazines and blogs. Mara has a minimalist mid-century modern sensibility that you’ll notice through the home. The comfortable and clean aesthetic ties 1920’s charm and french luxury touches throughout.
Additional notesSilverlake is known as an epicenter of the east side’s artistic scene and culture, but it is also home to a wonderful neighborhood filled with young families. Please be mindful of noise after 10pm and please no parties. However if you're looking to experience LA nightlife, there are tons of great bars and restaurants in close proximity, so enjoy yourself!
We do ask that the guests, should they need to have company over to please ask in advance so that we can insure this goes smoothly and both the owner and you feel respected.
Pool: feel free to heat the pool at an additional cost of $50/day. Contact Best Nest for instructions. Jacuzzi heating is complimentary (and essentially obligatory, its the best)
Closets: the master closet and guest closets will be locked up and we will be offering open dresser drawers and hanging racks.
Parking: One car can be parked within the gated driveway. Besides the parking spot at the house street parking is available (without the requirement of a permit), the only restrictions are on street cleaning days. (Thursday one side, Friday the other)
Guest interactionBest Nest Living is always available and can be reached 24/7 for any questions or concerns. Its our goal to make sure that the guest is taken care of, by offering an array of tailored services upon each request.
Neighborhood overviewSituated in Silverlake you will be on the top of a small hill a short Uber ride to some of the best restaurants in the city. You are .4 miles walk to Sunset Blvd.
Our neighborhood is known as one of the most interesting in all of Los Angeles. If you live in LA, you know that Silverlake/Echo Park has quickly become one of the hottest neighborhoods to be in for it's booming nightlife, restaurants, shops and cafes. Watching it transform over the last many years has been exciting. As resident locals, here's where you absolutely must go:
Sunset Junction:
This main strip is less than 5 minutes away. From the best French Bistro in the city: Cafe Stella (perfect for brunch, dinner, AND cocktails), to some great bars (Black Cat, Bar Stella, 4100, Cliff’s edge), to shopping (A.P.C., Mowhawk General, Le Labo,)
For coffee you’ve got La Colombe, Lamill, or Intelligensia.
Some of our favorite restaurants super close are:
L & E Oyster Bar - personal favorite. Try the bar upstairs happy hour
Pine & Crane - Tawainese, incredible flavors
Night + Market Song - Thai, SUPER spicy
Alimento - Italian fine dining
Pho Cafe - fast cheap & delicious. Cash only.
Botanica - upscale brunch
Winsome - echo park, but my personal favorite brunch, try the salmon rosti
